Nikos Zikos lives in Athens and is a photographer.\u00a0Very quickly he managed to leave his imprint in art, having created unique images that stand out, not only for their aesthetics but especially for the emotions and power they exude.<\/span><\/p>\n

Photography is his own form of expression – with it he captures and creates images. For him it is the medium to reveal and highlight stories, to convey messages and to illuminate hidden folds of until that point unseen stories.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2018 he presented his first exhibition of portraits of people from Rwanda, Africa “Portraits from Rwanda” in collaboration with ActionAid. Thanks to the proceeds raised, a primary school hall was built in the village he had visited.<\/span><\/p>\n

His second exhibition entitled “Eyes behind bars” which took place in 2020 at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, where 50 portraits of shelter dogs were presented, in collaboration with the “Save a Greek Stray” shelter. All proceeds from the exhibition were donated to the shaping of this particular shelter.<\/span><\/p>\n

In its third personal project in 2021, “Behind the flame”. made a series of documentary photographs of the athletes who participated in the Tokyo Olympics, he followed them through their preparation and captured the difficulty and pain of preparing a champion. This project also held a very successful exhibition at the Olympic museum and the proceeds supported athletes participating in Olympic games.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pigment fine art prints have a lifespan of up to 50 years or even more, depending on the specifications of each paper (OBA percentage, acid free, etc.). Acryluxe prints have a lifetime of up to 10 years or even more,<\/span> as defined by the certifications provided by the manufacturing companies. ChromaLuxe Metal Prints have a lifetime of up to 64 years, as defined by the certifications provided by the manufacturing company ChromaLuxe and Wilhelm Imaging Research, without these being at the same time a guarantee of lifetime and this because there can be no control as to conditions in which the prints are exposed at the end.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

These certifications tests have been carried out under specific exposure conditions, such as indoor use, no sunlight or uv radiation, 20\u02daC \u2013 28\u02daC temperature, 60% humidity and absence of environmental or other air pollution. Any deviation from the above can reduce the lifespan and affect the quality of the prints. Under normal conditions of sun exposure (direct or even reflected), the lifespan can be reduced to less than 5 years. Photolab Athens informs about the certifications of each method by the manufacturing companies, but does not guarantee the lifetime of the prints.<\/span><\/p>\n

The products sold on the Site are digital prints some of them numbered and in limited edition. The digital prints are offered in one or more formats and print options, according to the suggestions made between the artist or his\/her representatives and Signature Prints.<\/span> The final paper print may be modified without any prior warning but replaced by a similar characteristics paper.<\/span> The digital prints are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity in English.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
