Description

Eleni born in Chalkida and studied Painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, in the studio of the Futurist artist Emilio Vedova. She continued her studies in Greece at the Athens School of Fine Arts, specializing in Printmaking. Her ongoing exploration of the relationship between text and image led her to pursue a Master’s Degree in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art (2008–2010) under prof. Martin Salisbury, supported by a State Scholarship Foundation (IKY) grant for Printmaking studies abroad.

As both an author and illustrator, she published the children’s book series “Greek Artists”: D. Mytaras and the Colorful Pairs, G. Moralis and the Secret Game of Shapes, K. Tsoklis and the Curious Confusion (Livanis Publications, 2011).

This was followed by the titles The Green Party, The Red Soup, and The Blue Cloud (Livanis Publications, 2013). In 2017, her illustrated fairy tale The Great Victory of Life was published by Saiti Publications as a donation to ELPIDA – Association of Friends of Children with Cancer.

In 2020, her philosophical fairy tale for children and adults, The Veils of Angels, was published by I. Sideris Publications.

In April 2022, she welcomed the release of Asclepius’ Garden, an educational book about Greece’s rich flora and unique wildflowers. The foreword was written by Professor of Archaeology V. Lambrinoudakis (University of Athens). By Kalendis publications.

Ιn 2024 she also welcomed the game of the impressions. The Impressionism. By Kalendis publications.

She currently teaches at the Arsakeia Primary Schools, and she draws daily inspiration from the smiles of children as they experience the joy of creativity.

Pigment fine art prints have a lifespaxn of up to 50 years or even more, depending on the specifications of each paper (OBA percentage, acid free, etc.). Acryluxe prints have a lifetime of up to 10 years or even more, as defined by the certifications provided by the manufacturing companies. ChromaLuxe Metal Prints have a lifetime of up to 64 years, as defined by the certifications provided by the manufacturing company ChromaLuxe and Wilhelm Imaging Research, without these being at the same time a guarantee of lifetime and this because there can be no control as to conditions in which the prints are exposed at the end.

These certifications tests have been carried out under specific exposure conditions, such as indoor use, no sunlight or uv radiation, 20˚C – 28˚C temperature, 60% humidity and absence of environmental or other air pollution. Any deviation from the above can reduce the lifespan and affect the quality of the prints. Under normal conditions of sun exposure (direct or even reflected), the lifespan can be reduced to less than 5 years. Photolab Athens informs about the certifications of each method by the manufacturing companies, but does not guarantee the lifetime of the prints.

The products sold on the Site are digital prints some of them numbered and in limited edition. The digital prints are offered in one or more formats and print options, according to the suggestions made between the artist or his/her representatives and Signature Prints. The final paper print may be modified without any prior warning but replaced by a similar characteristics paper. The digital prints are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity in English.
